Clutch Repair
When Clutch Repair is needed, the clutch assembly consists of multiple components that are designed to operate together to connect and disconnect power from the engine into the Manual Transmission. The clutch linkage or hydraulic system is what connects the clutch pedal to the clutch assembly, and the clutch assembly is what allows the clutch to engage or disengage.
When the clutch pedal is pushed down, the clutch disc is disengaged from the engine which allows the transmission to be shifted into the desired gear range. When the clutch pedal is released, the clutch disc becomes engaged with the engine and rotates at engine speed turning the gears inside the transmission. Most of the clutch problems seen at West Michigan Transmissions are related to the clutch linkage or hydraulic system.
If you are having difficulties moving the clutch shifting lever while the engine is running or are experiencing clutch slippage, it may be due to a problem with the clutch linkage or hydraulic system. No matter what the problem is with your clutch system, the trained and certified technicians at West Michigan Transmissions can quickly and accurately diagnose the clutch failure, and repair your clutch in the most economical way possible.
